Loads of Fun Down on Ark Farm

With our Kids Farmer DaysTM Experience

Held on location just North of Bedford and designed for children aged 4-14, our Farmer Days are a great opportunity for your children to get really hands-on with our very friendly farm animals. Each day runs from 10am - 3pm and costs just £35 inclusive of VAT with discounts available for siblings and small groups.



We are fully insured and all our staff are CRB/DBS checked. We operate a strict health & safety policy with hand cleaning facilities through our premises. Prior to entering the farm area, each event begins with a Health and Safety chat at an age appropriate level.

A Young Farmer's Day
Following a hot chocolate/Cold Drink alongside our health and safety chat the children will have a quick tour of the animals and short explanation as to what each animal needs the farmer to do for them.
Then it's down to work and the first job is to ensure all the animals are mucked out with fresh beds and feed made ready for the evening - we've got over 130 animals so there's quite a lot of work to do!. Next it's time to go egg collecting - our chickens are free range so you'll have to look high and low to find them all.



After lunch in the heated cabin the children will prepare themselves for some paddock cleaning and, for those brave and strong enough, there's a chance to get to grips with 'The Poo-ver'.
With the fields nice and clean it's time for some well earned fun and we'll tack up the ponies ready to do some riding, grooming and plaiting.



As mum's and dad's start arriving to collect from 2.45 it's an opportunity for the 'farmers' to show you how well they've done and give you your own tour of their hard work. For those that have survived the day there's a 'Qualified Farmer' certificate waiting to be collected!
